You’re quite welcome. I started this place up because I wanted to showcase the fact that a lot of people don’t realize right off. There are a lot of Black writers and artists in the industry, but they rarely get seen outside of the bright light that’s out there. And considering BFMC has a great audience, you guys and gals are proof that we exist in the fandom that seems to be stuck in the same 18-49 White male paradigm the industry still runs on.
Right now, most of these guys are doing their own thing or paired with other writers, but the opportunities are out there. I’m slowly becoming more into the Make Your Own Stuff side of the industry. Ownership in your own work is a pretty good thing. And if you’re an artist or a writer, keep at it.
Do your own thing, create, and have fun doing it.
